Welcome to my Blog!

Hi! My name is Valerie Dietsche. I am a wife of ten years and a homeschooling mom of three beautiful children. After a couple of stints overseas, we've now been settled for several years in our little fixer-upper in small-town America. Photography has been an interest of mine for a while, but just recently have I begun pursuing it as more than just a hobby. I love nature and being outdoors, as you can probably tell by many of my photos. I am now branching out into photographing people, as well. Other interests of mine include reading, (both personally and with my kids), good music, good coffee, and good company! You'll learn a lot more about me as you follow along with my random assortment of blog posts, and hopefully you'll also enjoy the photos along the way.

Thanks for stopping by, and please say hello!

p.s.--Please do not use or reproduce my photos without permission. Thanks!

today...

daddy the pancake man

i was surprised this morning when i excitedly said to the kids, “i was thinking we could make blueberry pancakes for breakfast today!” and they did not respond with the same enthusiasm. as the morning progressed, however, i figured out why they may have been a little disappointed and/or confused. i hadn’t thought...
