Welcome to my Blog!

Hi! My name is Valerie Dietsche. I am a wife of ten years and a homeschooling mom of three beautiful children. After a couple of stints overseas, we've now been settled for several years in our little fixer-upper in small-town America. Photography has been an interest of mine for a while, but just recently have I begun pursuing it as more than just a hobby. I love nature and being outdoors, as you can probably tell by many of my photos. I am now branching out into photographing people, as well. Other interests of mine include reading, (both personally and with my kids), good music, good coffee, and good company! You'll learn a lot more about me as you follow along with my random assortment of blog posts, and hopefully you'll also enjoy the photos along the way.

Thanks for stopping by, and please say hello!

p.s.--Please do not use or reproduce my photos without permission. Thanks!

a couple different times now, miriam has brought up an interesting perspective when i have pulled out the old parental ploy of trying to convince your kids to be thankful for what they have when compared with so many other children in the world. this frustrates her, and she responds something like, “you mean, you...
